Standing ovation for the animated film ''La famosa invasione degli orsi in Sicilia'' by Lorenzo Mattotti in competition at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Pure poetry, pure beauty: the extraordinary style of the great illustrator Mattotti is combined with the music composed by René Aubry. The film, a co-production between France and Italy, is based on the novel by Dino Buzzati. Mattotti, visibly excited, has also read an his own "declaration of love" to the language of animated cinema.
